Roguishly Matched Second Chance at Love Match Made in Heaven edition by Marie Higgins Match Made in Heaven Linda Floyd Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

  • "To err is human, to forgive divine" came to mind as Adeline tried to forgive the man who had grieviously wronged her and brought her misery. But it was a year since her husband had passed away and she was ready to put it to rest. Her plan was to make Collin Dorsey, Earl of Hanover miserable at the wedding of his brother. She would not feel guilty for doing it either!
As best laid plans go, she did confront him, but all did not go as planned.
Collin went after her and was attacked new her home and when he awakens, he does not remember his name! Yet his mind may not know her but the heart tells him different.
This was a very enjoyable novella that packed a lot into the story. I felt for Adeline but also was anxious to find out what really happened between them those couple of years ago. This author always writes a story that keeps my interest and am always glad to see a new book by her. Prepare to not be able to put this one down once you start!!
  • I enjoyed this book! Because of a misunderstanding, the two main characters are at odds until the man is hurt and the girl takes him into her home to take care of him. They figure out that they were lied to and work it all out. I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance books.
  • A sweet story with a misunderstanding, marriage to the wrong man and subsequently his death shortly after the marriage. Will a second chance at love be sabotaged by a secret admirer or worse?
  • This book in the Match Made in Heaven series was short and sweet. This book is a stand alone story but does pick up where Loving a Scoundrel ended. In this story we get to find out more about Lord Hanover, Collin Dorsey and why the woman he loved Lady Adeline Kentwood married someone else breaking his heart.
Lady Adeline Kentwood became a widow shortly after being forced to marry Lord Kentwood who had compromised her. She blamed Collin for what had happened to her and wanted to confront him at his brothers wedding.
This story had some twists and turns and just when I thought I had everything figured out there were some unexpected surprises.
My only disappointment was that the story wasn't a little longer.
I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased opinion.
  • Lady Adeline has hated Lord Collin for the past year and the way he ruined her life. She thought he cared for her all the while he and his cousin Lord Lloyd set in motion the one thing she never wanted and that marry Lord Lloyd the drunken womanizer. Just a few days after they married he was killed in a boating accident leaving her a widow but now Lord Collin has taken his cousins title and she lives in one of the estates he now owns. While trying to follow her to explain he gets ambushed and loses his memory for a day and when it returns he knows he loves her and wants to marry her but before he can do that another wants to also marry Addie and he is the one behind all the lies and betrayal. Can Addie and Collin forgive each other their misunderstandings?
Received from the author and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.
  • I liked reading the story of Collin that was started in the epilogue of Loving a Scoundrel. It started with the present day from a different perspective from what was seen at the end of Loving a Scoundrel. Then after a few chapters the book went into the past and explained more of the situation that was briefly detailed by Collin to his brother in the above mentioned book. Then toward the end it continued on from the present. I came to like Adeline better once we got to know her a bit more but I was also frustrated with her for her foolishness. But she comes to understand that she too was to blame for her situation. It also frustrated me a bit that Collin was a womanizer. Reformed as he may have been. In addition I would have liked to see Addie and Collin having more time to fall for each other in the past or in the future. Their love felt too rushed for me. The ending was certainly not what I saw coming. It was fun to have a bit of a twist to the story. Over all I enjoyed the story. This book can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading Loving a Scoundrel first.
  • She loved him, but does she hate him now? He abandoned her, leaving her to marry someone she did not love. Now, she is a widow, and the man she once loved has her late husband’s title. Adeline finds herself wanting revenge against the man who abandoned her. When he is attacked outside of her home, they are thrust together. Collin lost his memory and had to stay at the manor where she resided for a few days. As he regained his memory, secrets were revealed, and things were not as they seemed.

I enjoyed this book. It was a short read, and I loved that I was able to finish it in one morning.
  • It’s always fun to reconnect with characters you’ve met “before” in previous books! In this book we get to understand Collin and his past better and learn how his heart has been broken before. I enjoyed reading about Adeline and what her life was like. Loved the twists (did not see the ending coming!) and just overall absolutely loved reading this short sweet book!
