- I am LOVING this book. It is very clearly written and the text in written in a way that anyone can understand it. As a Medical Lab Assistant and a Phlebotomist, this book is really helping me understand more about the tests doctors order and has given me the ability to explain to patients what their blood work is for.
- Very helpful information in this book. It explains the different lab test and what the results mean. I know this is information that can be looked up on the internet but this book puts it all in one place with excellent descriptions in plain english.
- The reason I bought this book was to look for things that can cause interference which this book does not highlight on. The formatting is out of place as if someone just copy and pasted information onto word and then hit print - tables are chopped up and the end of the section questions (4 per section) are basic recall information. It does mention a variety of testing the lab values - but it just wasn't what I was looking for.
- It is a concise book and offers a quick reference to nurses and also laboratory personnel. There are references and exercises helping me to further understand those laboratory tests. Highly recommended.

- This is good for what I use it for, as I work in behavioral health and usually just need a quick reference to refresh. But this is definitely a very limited quick reference resource, as others have said.
